BATANGAS CITY, Philippines – CyberPress, the country’s only organization of IT writers, also known as IT Journalists Association of the Philippines (ITJAP), has elected on Saturday its new set of officers for 2008 to 2009.

On Hold…
November 14, 2008In the middle of the mind-numbing work schedule I imposed on my self (that mostly included going to the office two or three hours before office hours and being the last one to leave my cube), I stopped everything I was doing to start packing my bags and troop to the airport for a three-day press junket. This time I head for Panglao, Bohol.
So naturally, my Manila life is put on hold while I run around the rural streets of Bohol and practically get drunk every night. An officematetold me I should enjoy the whole trip because I “deserve it.” I’m quoting him, in case you get the feeling that I’m pulling my own leg. Problem is, I can’t sincerely feel that I do. Maybe the fact that I have lots of unfinished things at the office bolsters the idea, aside from being a newbie in the company.
I’m writing this on my last night here, on a borrowed laptop at the resort’s dining area. Photos will be posted here as soon as I get home and some time.
Photoshop Disasters
November 1, 2008
Naturally, I come across a multitude of Photoshop byproducts on a daily basis, especially since I work in the print industry. But having been a user myself since high school, I also have this affliction of being able to immediately notice those horribly rendered works by some clueless graphic artist, perhaps e misspelling or two or maybe even pitiful attempts to enhance a photo to make the model look better or the shot appear awesome. These would often leave me laughing me lungs out until my sides hurt. The Photoshop Disaster blog shares these same sentiments, collecting horrid attempts at utilizing Photoshop and throws in a knee-slapping comment or two under each entry.
Here are a few samples. See if you can spot the obvious Photoshop fuck ups. (more…)
